I take it that the self-portrait is the ‘grin’ on the sculpture (the silver section on the bottom of the globe)? I can see an interesting, more abstract, shot in the top right-hand quadrant incorporating the bigger twisted bit of the sculpture and the smoky window of the building to the right.
It would cost a lot of money to get a lens that could do that! I think shiny things must be a magnet for photographers.
However the real self portrait is in the black base.
A belated happy new to you too Martin. A lot things are going on in this picture, I am having difficulty to decide on which part to focus my attention. It is a lovely shot, thanks for sharing.
due to the size of the picture here I don’t really see your self portrait so well but understand that many would be made here, I’d definitley give it a shot. For me the sculpture gets a little lost in the surroundings, a lack of seperation.
