A hectic period, contract with new customer and finalising previous project.  I hope to be around more often again as things settle down.

  1. What a treat to be met with on my first visit for a week (travelling again). This is perfection…timing, focus, framing, processing.

That direct eye contact out of the photo is unnerving. It is so very strong.

  2. What colin said, and then some. The duotone look and the grain work well here.

  3. I agree wholeheartedly with the previous comments. Tinting/toning can be a risky business but there are no problems here.

  4. Add me to the list of admirers. It’s wonderful on every level.

  5. The eyes win this. Though Jessica is facing the viewer the eyes to me seem to have the merest wisp of being slightly turned away from you. This is compounded by the view in the mirror. A well handled portrait and one to be proud of. Well seen.

  6. Will Jessica be a Kate style model? She is very photogenic and seems to either willingly model or provide you with some golden opportunities.

This is just magic, beautiful eye contact, a quizzical expression and the haloed reflection, just great.

  7. thanks everyone. This one was a setup type if you can call 5 seconds a setup. Jessica follows me around the house while I do my usual discovery of pictures to take, this time she gave me 5 seconds of her time, there is no second chance so I take them when I can.

The more I play with Jessica the more opportunites I get.

  9. All right, the Jessica fan club is greater in number by one.

The tint is perfect for the image. While it’s not an original observation, I want to add my agreement on the eyes being perfect. The smile adds a bit of mystery.
