Fence Life

  1. Hmm. Real, leaf-less bamboo on the right. Metal, bamboo-like bar with leaves, on the left. Ironic – but is it enough.

    Not sure.

  2. Ultimately, the sum of the parts is a Japanese look.

There are some nice touches with the ‘parts’: the division into thirds horizontally and vertically (with the leaves contrastingly placed outside the thirds), the leaf litter on the ground, the single staple on the LH post and the play of the fence shadows on the wall.

  3. I was looking for the shadow, a more simple design than the tiled wall but it reminds me of that picture with its tiled look.

  4. Too subtle….perhaps. Maybe my mood is just wrong.

  5. So I decide what to say and then read the comments.
    Thanks Gordon

  6. I like subtle and the simplicity of this strikes me just right tonight.

  7. The patterns and textures are enough for me. The little joke is a bonus.

  8. I am enjoying the irony, but I am also intrigued by the background. The reflection of the wire fence above the textured portion of the structure is the second that catches my eye.

  9. I like the scene, more of the man & nature stuff except the perspective skew is really annoying for me, I’d have preferred it straightened.
