  2. This really conveys the sense of excitement that comes with success. The PoV accentuates the feel of achievement.

  3. The more I look at this, the more I find that I admire.

  4. Eyes, sky, shirt, the colors all work.

She reminds of Kate’s younger sister, exuberant and slightly goofy.

  5. Whilst I can’t say that I like this exactly it is very well done. Exuberance…definitely.

  6. Before or after?
I mirror Colin’s feelings, although I think the lighting makes her eyes look more manic than exuberant.

  7. manic might actually be closer to the truth. Before – about 5 minutes before getting in the water

  8. I’m with the doonster/colin camp on this. It does have a strange set of lighting going on. Even at such a wide angle it doesn’t look overly distorted.

  9. Certainly well done– and fun, though I think I fall in with Colin on this, too.

I’m wondering how differently she photographed after the triathlon — did you get an after?

  10. I can’t get this phrase from some childhood memory out of my head, “I’m so excited, I’m about to pop!” You mentioned, Gordon, that she was manic, and the photograph certainly captures that.

  11. LOL, what more can I say.
