Is this a fashion photo reflected in the window or a poster crafted to fit in the space?
I hate to say it Rex, but you’re in danger of using thirds! That sooty streak is nicely placed in from the left and matches the picture not far off the RH third!
A playful bit of the surreal with fresh colours. The whole thing certainly brightens up the street and the photo captures that appeal.
The long sooty pole almost looks tree- (or even pole-) like. Certainly gives this some depth. The window/model/hat combination gives this a religious feeling. This is indeed a bonus for me, as given the close-up nature of the shot it needed that extra dimension to keep me involved after the initial humour of the hat trick begins to fade.
Makes me think of a collage — in a good, arty kind of way, quite appealing — I don’t find it “creepy”. Once again, my only quibble is with the title — I don’t want to be directed toward seeing a “hat”.
I always find trompe l’oeil a little creepy, but it is interesting. The sooty rock face is what makes this work. That’s the element the confuses the brain.

Nice hat, shame about the skin problem?
A stronger image, I think, than Split #1. It is all a bit less obvious and a bit wittier.

I like the title – points to intention and once the initial wit has passed, the strong graphical element supports it well.
