  1. Or, the ten and half pound monster that now occupies most of my waking moments. What a marvelous experience! I promise not to flood the site with syrupy puppy photos.

  2. He looks like great fun although I can sympathize about the extra work involved.

The raw energy is certainly on display and he looks very animal-like in that he seems to have the characteristics of more than a dog and I’m intrigued by his back end, which resembles a small bear just a little. Is that PS work around the edge of his hindquarters?

I would say that he is going to be quite a handful!

    • John – The edge of his hindquarters is just careless processing.

I hadn’t seen the bear-like quality. Thanks. Our training is proceding nicely. He is doing a fine job with me. Fortunately, he is humoring me by performing his basics quite nicely.

  3. So, you’ll be buying a cam with a specialist sports AF system….

Nothing syrupy about this. I look forward to more shots as the puppy grows up.

  4. All the best attributes of a puppy on display, without going too far overboard on the cuteness factor. Nice work getting the motion effect. A great subject that I also hope to see more of.

  5. Not too obviously a puppy – don’t worry, he’ll settle don by the time he’s seven or eight.

  7. I certainly see all the energy and personality of the little guy but can’t help getting past the fact that nothing appears sharply in focus. The way the grass is rendered makes it feel like a tight crop from a larger frame, or maybe a cell-phone snap.
