farewell from Wales

requiem for another summer gone

Winding up Stills seems to be a lengthy process.  Nearly five years of posting and commenting seems to have flown by though.  Colin’s original idea was excellent and, in the main, has worked extremely well.  In part inspiration and in part challenge there have always been photos to admire and learn from.  I haven’t yet come across a similar site that offers comments beyond “awesome” (to exaggerate slightly).  So a big thank you to Colin and to everyone else who has provided an important and enjoyable time in my photography.

  3. A sky to defy the would be croppers, you have to have all that cloud!

This feels Turneresque with its subject and palette. The long shadow complement the brow of the rise and emphasise that traditional hedgerow. Do other countries have hedgerows as field borders?
