This is the photographer I introduced you to recently, but this was nearly two years ago, when he was not yet four.

  1. Big camera – little boy! So what camera did you use for this – presuming the one on the tripod is yours? I’m sure he will treasure this in fifty years time!

    • Hi John

I couldn’t resist the “can I take a photograph Grandad”? So I popped my E3 on the tripod and I took the E1.

I can’t remember whether I’d only partly locked the E3 in position, or he just picked the tripod up and turned it round, but either way he started taking shots of me after this.

  2. Perhaps this early experience led to the later mastery of the iPhone?

The conversion to B&W seems to help lift him out of the background.

  3. excellent black and white, as Rex has pointed out the subject stands out well from that busy background. The humour in the picture takes it to the next level of excellent.

  4. The black and white is excellent, but I like his unconventional shutter press and the sightly folded body. Very pro at such a tender age – the size ration of the E3 to child about matches the ration of 1ds3 to adult. Hence my move to rangefiners:)
