Sorry for being away for so long, I have been extremely busy at work and I haven’t done any mentionable shooting in months. This one is taken just today.

  1. This is a magic juxtaposition. I don’t know why but Antony Gormley came to mind. love it.

  2. This is certainly mentionable. I’ve spent ages just trying (and failing) to work it out, as well as enjoying the color and “art” of it.

  3. There is certainly lots to discover, and keep discovering – the skyline at the bottom creeps on one unawares! The blend of ‘straight’ and reflected image is very well balance and, like Christina, there are some bits I can’t nail down like the space shuttle-like shapes at the top.

Our Street Photography instruction this week is: “The different shades of grey are astonishing” and this would fit the bill nicely!

  4. Hi Cem, glad to see you back. Even if you’ve not shot much, this is another lovely and intriguing picture. Very you. The reflectoins slightly obscure the imagary and make us look to try and work out what’s going on. Then there are several layers, that I’m still tring to fit together in a 3D world) As John says, the skyline at the bottom is a very neat touch too.

  6. Thanks folks for the kind comments. It was taken at the new museum called MAS in Antwerp, Belgium. The architecture lends itself very much to creating these kind of compositions but even then I was very lucky to capture this particular one. It was taken going down on the escalator to the lower level, when I saw this composition taking form. It was a split second to raise the camera, compose, focus and shoot. The picture is uncropped full frame as presented. I even managed to get the horizon right, lol. It is serendipitous really.
