  1. A very delightful shot. It’s always fun looking at other people’s gardens and this one seems to have got the composition just right in combining land and sky, even the clouds have fallen into place. The ball links it all and probably sets it off as well but there are lots of details that are of interest such as the the growth of the young saplings and the way the taller one catches the wind. There is also the slightly rough patch at the back that tells of work still to be done.

  2. This makes me think about the power of an image as a memory jogger as it so reminds me of a garden I remember from my childhood. Lol, yes it must be a very strong image then!

Incidentally, have you cloned something out something in the bottom left hand corner?

  3. For me it’s all about the ball. It seems to own the garden and it tells us more about the family users of the garden than any other feature in the image. Love the ball.

    • Ah, but does the ball belong in this garden? Perhaps it is a stray missile from another.

  4. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened. A nice airy image. I love the way you’ve rendered the tones in the different greens which I know can be very tricky.
