Winter wall

  1. The title presses the right button for one to appreciate te colouring of the creeper – it looks as though it is lying out in a morgue! The yellow adds quite a complication visually by introducing an idea of the sun! That is good as it makes the photo much more complex with its contradictions.

  2. The transition from the red to the yellow linked by the creeper makes an interesting composition. This falls into the Picasso “Found Art” category which is a genre of photography that I enjoy.

  3. I see the three primary colors, though the blue is muted, and they are working together beautifully here. Very enjoyable viewing.

  4. I agree. I like your framing, and the use of a proper aspect ratio, but most of all that you have resisted the temptation to ‘glam it up’ with excess contrast or saturation. The bluey, wintry shade of the creeper is lovely in the scene. Found art and an image that would be challenging I suspect to print well, but worth the effort perhaps.

  5. Something very similar to this caught my eye on a cemetry boundary wall, while walking my grandson to school. Alas, unlike you, I didn’t have the sense to inestigate it on my return.
