  1. This is a very well-balanced shot both in composition and colour arrangement. It is intriguing how the yellow bricks glow just a little bit more above the bicycle. Inevitably one compares the scene with somewhere like London: while there are similarities, one can pick out the subtle differences in construction and style. The bicycle parked outside must be the most shocking difference!

  2. The shape of the bike gives a really strong clue as to the area of the world this was taken in! There is a richness of tone to this which I find very attractive.

  3. Thank you both. I was pleased with this – both the fairly formal framing and the richness of colour and tone. Impressed John that you picked out the ‘glow’ above the bike – this is there in the file and is not local ‘enhancement’ (I don’t think Id have thought of it in any case!)

  4. warmth and beauty, a postcard picture. Can I have a print? I’d clone out that pink thing on the door though.

    • Hi Robert, More than happy to send you a print. Can you email your address. Might take a week or two, but I’ll even think of cloning the pink bit for you.

      • :o), OK, keep the pink. Can’t quite make out what it is though.
