Fishing – a follow on

Fishing 1

Another from the same visit. I thought I’d share as a sister to the picture below.

  1. The call from the man on the shoreline bottom left and the assumed response from Mont St Michel ties the photo together. The feel for the day comes across well – the almost flat calm with just a few ripples and a sky almost clear of clouds. The reflection of the spire on the mount gives just that little more bulk to that part of the picture to balance the bottom elements. I think the human element adds an extra dimension.

  2. I don’t know why but I find the reflection of the tip of the mount a very important part of this composition. The whole image has a gentle and serene feel.

  3. I find the human interest, makes this one much more (dare I say) interesting.

The image speaks to me of faith, or perhaps hope. Such a vast expanse of water, what is the likelihood that there are fish within reach of the angler?

    • Would that I can add one that speaks of love then we would be complete. Thanks. I didn’t see any fish actually caught.
