  1. An intriguing visual conundrum. I don’t know how the image is created but I do know I like it. The contrast adds to the impact.

    • Hi Rex – thanks for the comment and observations. The image is as taken – it is, I believe, a very large castor oil plant in the entrance to some public toilets by an open-air bar in the ground of a hotel in Rovinj. The slatted door to the right is just that – a slatted door. I converted this in Silver Efex-Pro and used a pre-set that now escapes my memory. I fiddled with the preset settings to achieve the end result. The ‘Seascape’ title came to me because the final image left me with the impression of plants floating at depth. The light was very strong when this was taken – I am sure you will recall the unforgiving Croatian light.
