Today we visited the New Dali Museum and had the guided tour.

  2. I’ve learned something – I didn’t know that there is a Dali Museum (and gallery?) in Florida. Is the photo Daliesque enough?! I like the way Chris sees the shot and your use of the structure. It doesn’t have the magic of your Hepworth shots from some seven or eight years ago and I think the reason is that the rocks and grass area occupying the ‘North-East’ portion of the picture feels a bit too manicured for Dali! It all ends up down in the hole of books, which is not quite enough to carry the whole frame.

  3. The complex structure and run through to the books don’t quite pull this one off for me. John may be right about the grass area, but I wonder if there needs to be a bit more order to the structure and its framing to make the image work?

    Of course, I also saw it as a comment on the commercial focus of the card and book store within the museum dedicated to Dali’s work, so perhaps it was effective in its message!
