Happy New year, Merry Christmas, Happy Easter and a general hope 2014 was good for you and that 2015 will be better.
I don’t know if I’m back, I’m not thinking this through much. I decided to do the one camera one lens one year thing (#ocoloy) the online photographer has written about recently. So here I am. Don’t know if I can manage this as my photoraphy has fallen by the wayside for quite some time.

2nd Hour of Many
2 hours in and my usual riding partner is still happy. He finished in 10h40m, I was an hour later. At this point we had not hit really hit any of the 4500m of ascent.

Welcome Sun (From the Saddle)
Rode 205km yesterday, wearing a camera around my neck and ready to take photos. This one at the 109km mark while travelling at 20kmph. I travelled for many hours in the shadows of the river cliffs which made for a cold ride, any short periods in the sun were very invigorating.
In 21km I’d be climbing out of the valley, in 22km time I’d be asking myself what I was doing here. 10km of climbing later and the gradient easing off, recovering and looking forward to lunch.

Bike Locked up on Pitt Street
OK I know, I’ve been away for ever. And I’ve missed my photography. Yesterday I finally gave myself a day off and took pictures, I’m rusty in all areas. Facing people with a camera, thinking of my composition and framing, lightroom, photoshop, the lot.
My excuse for taking the day off, went to see Seal and his photography at the finest camera store in Sydney, Foto Riesel. About 50-60 enthusiasts, red carpet and all :o)
I’ve been looking at the pictures here all along as well but my work and the 1000km a month I have been riding have kind of curtailed comments but hopefully I can get back into commenting as well. Thanks for your understanding.
